The School of Hard Work has Openings

I just returned from Casino Tour 2008. I was a winner!

Over the last few hebdomads my human race of speech production have taken me from a Nutmeg State Casino to Las Vegas to Atlantic Ocean City and then back to a Nutmeg State Casino. In between speech production about personal development, leading and one of my favourite modern times of year, Deferral At Work Day, I did my portion to maintain the United States out of a recession by making backdowns from my personal depository financial institution business relationship and depositing that money in the lands of short-skirted cocktail waitresses. Now I make recognize that some of you believe I am in denial and that we are already in a recession; travel ahead maintain up those negative thoughts. That'll help!

So I walked into my favourite Las Vegas gambling casino and saw the BMW Convertible. I decided I was going to win that car. I set it out there. After all, I did ticker "The Secret." I'm going to win that car. I'm going to win that car. I'm going to win that car. I can see myself driving that auto place from Las Vegas all the manner to CT; top down, wind blowing through my hair, uh I intend beanie; propellor whirling in the wind. I am going to win that car.

Well you won't believe this...............

Not in a million years....................

I was down to my last 2 credits; $150 later; I set it out there once again that I was going to win that car. In the background I hear Frank Frank Sinatra vocalizing "Luck Be A Lady Tonight." Frank was my dad's hero. Dad must be looking down on me. The stars and the planets are all in alignment...................And I pressed the max credit button and the three symbols come up up.

A cherry, a Barroom and a Win the Car.

I did not win.

I turned to the adult female next to me and wished her good luck. Her response, "I already won a Mini Peter Cooper last year. I'm just here to have got fun."

I got up from the place and walked back to my hotel.

Gambling is one of those interesting phenomenon. There are those, like me, who walk into a gambling gambling casino for amusement purposes; and those, like my friend Anita, who walk into the casino thought that there is a gazillion dollars in that edifice and some of it have her name on it. (Then she travels and acquires dealt a Royal Flush right in presence of my eyes. Yes, DEALT!) There are those who are cursing and curse at slot machines and the crappy card game being dealt to them as they lose, lose, lose. There are people whipping up and pounding on machines which are not paying out. It do you wonder. Are these people are always looking for the large payoff; the easy manner out; a gravy of hard cash that just lands in their lap? It do you inquire about the remainder of their life.

There are also people carrying O army tanks and smoking. I am not even going there. They're having a good time; I think that is all that matters.

So back to the whipping and pounding. I'm calm from the School of Hard Work. I still believe difficult work supplies its rewards. I still believe that working difficult is anything but when you bask what you're doing and you have got a small merriment doing it. I still believe that within any job, no substance how serious it may be, you can have got a rewarding experience once you calculate out what excites you. But it is up to you to calculate out how to make your occupation fun, interesting and exciting while getting the undertaking done you were hired to do. It is up to you to happen the right premix or work and play.

A piece back a National Coffee concatenation closed down every shop for three hours on the same twenty-four hours to retrain their staff. I have, without a doubt, seen a difference in the mental attitudes of their employees since that eventide preparation session occurred company-wide. They are laughing, playing and working harder. Some of the complacence I had noticed have gone away. Customers look happier as well. And happy clients intend a stronger company which could take to more than than money, better benefits, or more opportunity. Working harder supplies rewards.

Recently I spoke to an organisation which had changed their compensation structure; to one that is gross based. Yep, employees are now being paid based on gross collected and many of these people have 10% annual raises. Not many companies can state they are giving rises at the 10% level; and in a clip of a rec_____ (I decline to state the word). Once again, another illustration of working harder supplies rewards.

Two people very fold to me are about to register for bankruptcy. I have got watched them unknot for respective old age now; always looking for that windfall; always looking for the easy manner out; they're going to hit the lotto; do that great trade in the fiscal markets, or sell that million dollar home. They look to go to the School of Handouts.

How about you? Are you attending the School of Hard Work or the School of Handouts?

I'll wager a batch of those people at the gambling casino didn't acquire a 10% payback. Heck, I'll wager most of them didn't. I cognize I didn't. I'll wager a batch of those people at the gambling casino leave of absence without being able to buy a cup of coffee. So I didn't win the auto and had to settle down for a cup of java on my manner out the door. At least I had some merriment - obviously at the disbursal of others.

So what makes this mean value to you............. Stop reading this article right now and acquire back to working difficult and creating the extraordinary life you deserve. Or at least make it to assist with the press releases we necessitate to subsidize.
